Robert W. Lennie Inc.
Systems Architecture, Design, Development and Analysis

I am a principal software engineer and a systems architect with over 28 years of design, development and analysis experience on various flavors of Linux, Windows and others such as Tandem's OS. Until recently I was the CTO for IDENTIFiD a new (and still "stealth mode") startup where I led a team that is designing and building a revolutionary new solution to the growing problem of identity theft.

For the past three years I have been a principal software engineer at F5 Networks, Inc. where I have singlehandedly designed and built SRDF protocol handler components that resulted in F5's admission into the EMC Select program and a partnership with EMC.

During my long and distinguished career in the software industry several companies have patented my various designs and inventions and listed below are those that have so far been issued by USPTO. I also have a number of other more recent patent applications that are currently still pending and I will be adding these if and when they are issued. To learn more about these public and published examples of my work you can try the USPTO links (below) or perform a search yourself at the United States Patent and Trademark Office where you will also find related inventions that reference them.

My currently issued patents include:

US Patent #: 5,974,574 Title: Method of comparing replicated databases using checksum information

US Patent #: 6,092,213 Title: Fault tolerant method of maintaining and distributing configuration information in a distributed processing system

US Patent #: 6,360,338 Title: Enhanced instrumentation software in fault tolerant systems

US Patent #: 6,754,825 Title: Secure authentication and authorization for transaction processing

US Patent #: 6,836,845 Title: Method and apparatus for generating queries for secure authentication and authorization of transaction

US Patent #: 7,437,554 Title: Method and apparatus for generating queries for secure authentication and authorization of transactions

US Patent #: 7,487,360 Title: Secure authentication and authorization for transaction processing

These are not exactly light reading of course and when I have more time I will try to some details of my other work and achievements. If you have read this far and you are interested in learning more about my background then be sure not to miss my Linked-In profile page where you can see some of the feeback that I have received from other people in the industry that I have worked with closely.

When I'm not working my hobbies and interests include a fly fishing addiction.
